Tigers fall flat to Pitt

GSU Coach Rod Broadway expresses his frustration with his team during a 34-10 loss to U of Pittsburgh.

The Grambling Tigers lost to the University of Pittsburgh 34-10.

The Tigers were down early after a touchdown run by LeSean McCoy with 8:18 remaining in the 1st quarter. Grambling got the ball back but had a punt blocked which set up McCoy's second touchdown making the score 14-0.

After McCoy scored his third touchdown, Grambling was able to get on the score board when Brandon Landers connected with Clyde Edwards for a touchdown with 1:15 left in the first quarter making the score 21-7.

After the defense forced a fumble, the Tigers were able to add a field goal and cut into the deficient making the score 21-10. Pitt would score before the half on a touchdown pass from Kevan Smith to Nate Byham which made the score 31-10.

Pitt would add a field goal in the second half and capture the victory 34-10. The Tigers will have two weeks before their next game against Alabama A&M at home on Sept 22.
